Turn a Logo Into a Raised 3D Model

Upload a logo, choose a round, rectangular, or outline shape, set the size in millimeters, and download a raised STL or a height map for carving.

What this workflow supports

  • Solid shapes and clean edges stay crisp at shallow depths
  • The outline shape option cuts the model to the logo's own silhouette
  • Invert the relief to press the logo into the surface
  • Front and back designs can share one coin or medal

Prepare the logo file

The cleaner the source, the cleaner the edges in the model. A dark logo on a light background, or the reverse, gives the edge detection the most to work with.

  • Use a PNG or a high-resolution JPG of the logo
  • Remove drop shadows and gradients if you want flat raised areas
  • Very thin lines may need a larger final size to survive
  • Separate small taglines into their own design if they become unreadable

Plaques, badges, and branded coins

The same logo can become a desk plaque, a badge, a keychain blank, or the face of a branded coin. Set the physical size first and check that the smallest details still read in the preview.

  • Plaques: rectangle base with rounded corners
  • Badges and emblems: the outline shape that follows the logo
  • Coins and medals: a round base with an optional back design
  • Signs and inlays: a height map for CNC routers and engravers

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn my company logo into a 3D model?

Yes. Upload the logo, choose a shape and size, and download a raised STL. Logos with solid shapes and clear edges give the cleanest result.

Can the model follow the shape of my logo?

Yes. The outline shape option cuts the base to the logo's silhouette, so the piece is shaped like the logo itself.

Which file should I send to a CNC shop?

Ask the shop which they prefer. Many relief carving workflows take a grayscale height map, and others want an STL mesh. You can export both from the same project.

How much does it cost?

Previewing is free without an account, and your first export is free once you create an account and confirm your email. After that an export credit is $4.99, and one credit covers every later export of that project.
