MintForged
Privacy Policy
Effective August 18, 2026
This policy explains what personal information MintForged collects when you visit mintforged.com or use the MintForged Studio, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
Who we are
MintForged operates mintforged.com and the MintForged Studio, a browser-based tool that turns uploaded artwork into raised-relief 3D models. MintForged is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@mintforged.com.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information.
- Account information, such as your email address, sign-in credentials, and verification status.
- Transaction information, such as your plan, subscription status, credit balance, and a record of your purchases. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Content you provide, meaning the artwork you upload to the Studio and the design settings you choose.
- Usage information, such as the pages and features you use, the actions you take, general performance and error diagnostics, and how you arrived at the site, including referral and marketing campaign information.
- Device and connection information, such as your IP address, browser type, and similar technical details collected automatically when you use the site.
- Communications, meaning the content of messages you send us, such as support requests.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Studio, generate previews and exports, and deliver what you have purchased.
- To process payments and maintain business, tax, and accounting records.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service, including diagnosing errors and measuring performance.
- To understand how the service is used and how visitors find it, so we can improve the product and our marketing.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and misuse of the service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Usage information and your account
Usage information is collected on an anonymous basis at first. Where you have an account or have otherwise given us your email address, we may associate usage information with you so that we can support your account, understand how the service is used, and improve it. If you would prefer that we did not associate usage information with you, contact us and we will accommodate the request.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for the following purposes. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and blocking non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the Studio or accessing what you have purchased.
- Strictly necessary, to keep you signed in, operate the service, and protect against abuse.
- Functional, to remember your preferences and saved work. Some of this information, including artwork for saved projects, is stored in your own browser rather than on our servers.
- Analytics, to understand how the service is used and how it performs.
- Advertising, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These are set by our advertising provider. See the section on advertising choices below.
Legal bases, if you are in the UK or EEA
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we process personal information on the basis of performance of a contract, to provide the service and fulfil your purchases; our legitimate interests, in operating, securing, understanding, and improving the service; your consent, for advertising cookies and marketing communications; and compliance with a legal obligation, including tax and accounting requirements.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.
- With service providers who process information on our behalf, including our payment processor, our cloud hosting and storage provider, and our analytics and advertising providers. Our current providers include Stripe, Amazon Web Services, and Google.
- For advertising measurement. Under some US state privacy laws, sharing information with an advertising provider in this way may be considered sharing for targeted advertising. See the section on advertising choices below.
- Where required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will take steps to ensure your information remains protected.
Your artwork
Artwork you upload is processed to generate your relief model, preview, and export files. Generated files are stored securely and made available to you through access-limited links. We do not use your artwork to train models, and we do not publish it or make it available to other users. You can ask us to delete your uploads and generated files at any time.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. In practice this means we keep account information while your account is active, keep transaction records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution, and keep usage information for a limited period before deleting it or reducing it to aggregate statistics that do not identify anyone. Information stored in your own browser remains there until you clear it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent where we rely on it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights, and we honour these requests regardless of where you live.
- To make a request, email support@mintforged.com. Please use the address associated with your account, or tell us which address your request concerns.
- We will acknowledge your request and respond within the time required by applicable law, and will let you know if we need more time. We may need to verify your identity first.
- If you are in the UK or EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In some US states you may appeal a declined request; contact us and we will explain how.
Advertising choices
You can limit advertising cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage personalised advertising from our advertising provider through the ad settings that provider makes available. You can also contact us to opt out of the sharing of your information for advertising measurement.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption of traffic in transit, secure storage of credentials, access-limited storage for generated files, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where a breach affects your personal information and the law requires it, we will notify you and the relevant regulator.
International transfers
MintForged is operated from the United States, and the infrastructure we use to provide the service is located there. If you access the service from elsewhere, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where UK or EU law applies, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism made available by our providers.
Children
The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date shown above and, where the change significantly affects how we use your personal information, notify account holders directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
